Derrick Dalton, a great friend of the Irish music scene & als, sadly passed away this week. He was one of Dublin’s finest guitarist/songwriters and played in the Mexican Pets, Hey Paulette, Crumb and mostly recently Villa R.
We were very lucky to play some great shows with Crumb and he and his wife Laura gave us invaluable advice in setting up our website & getting our album out.
He was a true underground legend and we are shocked and saddened at the news.
Our deepest sympathies to Laura & his family,
May He rest in peace.

Hi Everyone,
I want to tell you about a little angel in our lives called
Lia; well actually she’s my niece. She can’t walk, talk or even
swallow but on her well days she communicates with us through
laughter and on her bad days through the sadness and wisdom in
her eyes. Her brain works on a different wavelength, that we can't
tune into to so we’ve named it cerebral palsy. We’ve recorded
an e.p for her and that’s her being all Kim Gordon on the front
cover. The first track is a new als song called “s.r.k”. The second
is a new version of “decade for believing” with Paddy Barrett
playing guitar and gracing the song with his heavenly vocals.
The third is a version of “star of david” recorded in a light
house during a storm. We filtered out the wind and rain so it sounds
like we recorded it in one take, in a room with a piano.
The last track is sanctuary from our first album (most people
who buy this will be hearing als for the first time so will need
a gentle introduction). It costs 5 euro and all money will go
toward helping Lia to hold her head up while she smiles,
Sorry for the lack of updates. We're supportting Ham Sandwich
in the Village on May 24th which should be a deadly night.
